Unit 6 animation notes

Work on a drawing and animate it, physically moving it, stopping frame animation.
Take a shot, move it, take a shot, move it etc.
Edward Muybridge- worked on stop emotion photos and studied animal movement. E.g Birds, Monkeys.

Zoetrope- When it spins it looks like a strobe light, the characters move when it is spinning (in a revolving drum)

Cel Animation technique by mid 1910's animation- Disney.
Watched a Disney cartoon on Mickey on a steam ship.

Watched Fantasia clips about Mickey doing Magic, this is cel animation.
