Monday 14th Dec

Today we used Cubase more and I have started getting on with my track more.
It is getting better and am still working on it. I have chosen a song and cut out parts and added funny catchprahses and funny other things on the track. I think it is working out well so far and will carry on until thursday.
More work on wednesday!

Thursday 10th Dec

As far of today I have found that using Cubase to be quite good as I am used to the controls and testing sounds and bits around. It seems pretty cool at the moment and am begining to like it and get more interested in the subject at hand.
I think I have quite a few ideas for the sequence and should be able to make it better.
This weekend I will do the research and will return it in for Monday.

7/12/09

Today we started unit 7, it is about sequencing.
I managed to complete the first assingment for writting 250 words for four pages on four different subjects.

Tomorow I have to come in and do the presentation for unit 4's finishing task.

26 Nov thursday

Over this week we have been using dreamweaver and learning how to make websites.
It hasn't been easy, but I am coping with it so far and have made a start on my website.
Today I shall carry on with designing my website and finding images for my planning.

I shall write up another blog before the end of the day.

Below these images are used in my website, at first you will see the "ODST" bar and when you put your mouse icon over it, the image underneath flashes up to show that this would lead to a quickview page of characters in ODST.

I will work on more of these today and hopefully get 3 pages sorted out and ready.

Lastly I have another image which is my title, this is a work in progress and I may change things around.

19th November Thursday

Today I done quite a bit of work, I finished the research practically, still have a little more to add, I will add more at the weekend.
Also I shall start planning out the first 2 pages of my website so I do not fall behind. I shall work on all of these tomorow and most liley on saturday depending on how far I get.

November 18th wednesday

On Monday I finished all my research and then yesterday I stuck it all in my sketchbook.
Today I have to hand in the research in the sketchbook, also I have to upload it.

Today I think we are going to carry on using Dreamreaver a little more, and then we will have group tutorial later on in the morning.

I shall write another blog update before the end of the day.

November 16th Monday (3)

Last blog today, I finished all the research now and I started using dreamreaver today. I thought dreamreaver was quite good and simple to use, I may need a little help with it sometimes but apart from that I thought it was good to work with.

I shall stick all my pages in total being 19 in my sketchbook tomorow and then work more on dreamreaver on wednesday.

Novemeber 16th Monday (2)

So far I have done 14 pages of research, I have only 4 more pages to complete and then I can move onto the next task.
We are also going to start using Dreamreaver this afternoon. This shall give us a chance to know what it is like making a website and how we make one.

November 16th Monday

This morning on key skills we typed up a summary answering questions on a sheet.
Last week my feedback for discussion was on £100,000 millon pounds and what I would do with it.
I stood up for about 4-45 seconds and then finished.
I didn't feel nervous or scared to stand up in front of people and present what I had to say.

Nov 12th Thursday

Today I finished 6 pages of the research.

These were development of history and devlopment of people.
I shall print everything off on monday and start sticking it down on Monday or either Tuesday.

I am up to date and will not rush myself and will focus on the last 4 pages to complete the first brief assignment.

Wednesday Nov 11th

Today I started my first timeline on development, when I have finished that either tonight or tomorow mornning then I shall start on the timeline of people.
This should be a quick thing to work on as I am now getting the hang of working about the information and the sheet itself.

I finished the 8 pages of research yesterday at home and will print it out when all my information tomorow.

Tommorow I should have finished the following tasks.
1.What is a good website design? (compare and contract task)
2. History and Development

Monday Nov 9th

Today we started unit 4, Web authorising.

I have found the research quite difficult at first, this is because we have tthe sum of 18 Pages.

I don't think it will be easy but I will try my best to get most of the work finished and done by a week and a halfs time.

For now I will do what I can.

Thursday afternoon 5th Nov

Today I managed to complete everything and hand everything in! YIPPIE! :)

Really glad I finished everything on time, I have learnt one lesson to remember though, and that is to not leave my sketchbook at home, I managed to get it at lunch time thanks to my mum for driving down to brighton which I am very thankful for.

At the weekend I shall recover and be ready for Monday.
I cannot believe how fast the week has gone aswell, another unit complete.

thursday 5th Nov

Unfortunatley I have left my sketchbook at home today, as I have been feeling very feel ill I forgot to bring it in.
I am in the process of trying to get home and get my sketchbook and then come back and work on it.

Hopefully I will be able to get it.

I must try to finish all my work today.

Wednesday

Today I finished off my poster and then I made a little quick start on my evalutation.

I also stuck in my 4-5 pages of screen grabs.
I shall write stuff up for it either tonight or tommorow morning, (most likely tommorow as I feel quite ill at the moment.

I have found that coming up with more ideas for my bus to explain and show why someone would want to buy an ipod is quite tricky for me to work with, in time I shall hopefully manage this and get better.

Tommorow I shall finish my evaluation and maybe the work if not have done it tonight.

Monday 2nd Nov

Today I finished my poster on photoshop and I am on the evaluation task. I will stick in my intial idea sheets tomorow or tonight and then tomorow I shall plan out what I can do first and gain a step by step approach to completing all my work for this unit.

On Wednesday I will start my evaulation and shall hopefully have finished and double checked everything on Thursday morning.

I thought at first that I was going to struggle with this unit, but now I feel fine and I feel as though I am doing ok and keeping up with the work.

Back from Half Term

We are now back from half term.
Today I shall carry on with my bus advertisement and make a start on photoshop bus advertisement work.
Through the half term I did some of the work, I made some ideas for the back of the bus and I also did my inital 2 pages. I have them saved on my memory stick and shall print them off in a minute.

Today I shall hopefully get all my work done and dusted.

Yesterday (21st oct 09)

Yesterday I thought the work was not my sort of thing, I managed to do the SDS but took a while for me to come up with good ideas for the sheet.
Today Im gonna carry on with the brief and follow the tasks and try to get someof it completed, I'm going to do the last two instructions when I come back from Half term.

Wednesday 21st Oct

Today has been ok, not really what I like and am into, but im trying to keep my chin up, I find it hard doing work on something I really dont like, Im just one of those people who just dont know how to work on advertisements and dont find any interest in it.

Still its for college work so i'm focusing on my grade result and work.
Today has been tricky and havent really much idea what I could do to make it better.]
Hopefully tomorrow shall be a better day and I can focus and be more enthusiastic about the Unit.

Until then I shall see what else needs amending.

Today has been a long and tiring day.
I have now finished all my pages and must now go.
SDS will be sticking my pages in my sketchbook, I must now go to the Libarary and print off my pages or save to them to my USB and then stick them in tomorow.

19/10/09 Blog update

I have learnt a little more about advertising, as I am going through the 12 pages for the four different subjects I find I am learning a little more as I go along.
At first I had no idea whether I could manage with this Unit and be not be able to understand what I was doing.

Also today in key skills we did some work on advertising.
We had to find an advertisement and write up what we thought about it and follow the sheet instructions. We are going to carry with it more next week.

Unbelievable day!

Today has been a good day, I cannot believe the amount of work I have done, I am ahead of my planner that I planned out wednesday, All I have to do now is Product Branding and Product Advertising. Hopefully then I Shall have it done for the weekend or Monday, either way I am determined to get all my work done whether I do feel drowsy in the afternoon or not.

Again I am happy with the work I have done and am pleased with myself, tomorow I shall make a start on Product Branding.

Today we made an officical start on unit 9 advertising

Monday 12.10.09

Today we started a new Unit which is Unit 5, John is still ill, so we had Billy to cover the day.
We went to the Liabary to start our work off, we had to come with ideas for an advert on either the following objectives
. A Fashionable item of clothing
. A musical instrument
. An item of sports equipment
. A computer game console (we had the option of choosing a game character or something to do with a game)
I chose option D

We had to arrange 4 images, one being in four different age groups, e.g 10-16, 16-19, 20-25 and 35-45

I think it went ok, but when it came to showing my ideas I didnt think it went well, i forgot to add my taglines to the poster.
I then went to the liabary and started working on my taglines and my rationale.
I have now done this and shall type them up as soon as possible, hopefully being in a minute after I have typed this blog.

long day (thursday)

Today has been a long and hot day.
We have had a cover tutor due to John Clamp being unwell still.
Sarah has taught us how to use powerpoint the way John would want us to write up our evaluations.
Also we have SDS (Self-Directed-Study)-(Homework) which is to go over and to do things for an intro sheet for our next unit which is unit 9.

All I know is that I will have a long weekend of work, I have the research to fit in, I am going to do only 4-5 pages of research as I have only two posters and have a hell of alot of work more to do such as the power point evaluation and also a little tiny bit more on photoshop.
I shall to my best to finish this all off.

Wednesday (without John)

Today we had Billy as our tutor.

Also I printed off my photos and wrote where I found them and what I think of them and also why I chose them.

I have also typed up my evaultation for poster 1 and will make a very quick start on poster 2 and try and to finish it, I will also try to make a very quick start on the finishing 10 pages and try my very best to get them all done.

Hard work is needed over tommorow and the rest of the week I expect.

I cannot upload my image unfortntley but I shall try another time.

Monday 5th october

Today I worked on my first a3 poster and managed to get it finished.
For SDS I am going to to do a grid sheet to help me understand what tools I used so that I can add that to my work for screen grabs.

When I have finished the screen grabs work I shall start going onto the finishing research 10 pages.

Alot of work to do from now.

Keys skill discussion

I thought the things that went well were that I managed to speak and I agreed with other people by using different words.
Also I answered questions John asked and i was using eye contact to show I was listening.
I also sat with open body language.
And lastly I nodded to show I was listening to other peoples views on the discussion.

How could it have been better.
I could have filled in my sheet and used that for research, and I didn't ask any questions.

I think I should prepare a question or two for future discussions and I should have time to go over of what i have to do.

Today( Thursday)

A tiring and yet a hot day to work through.

I found today a little hard to keep up with, I have started my first A3 poster and hopefully should be able to get it done in time, I may have to go into college tomorow and finish it off seeing as I dont have photoshop and cannot access my H drive at home.

Mock posters

Yesterday we started planning work on our A3 Posters, we are going to start our first one today.
We also went out yesterday and took photos following instructions from the sheet we had.

The photos worked out well and some people found other photos funny.

Some examples are on the page.

The day before that I stuck I my mock posters in my sketch book and wrote about them.

I will update this later when more work is done throughout the day.

Today (Monday)

Today we worked on our Mocks, we had 3 each to do.
I had already done 1 last week on Thursday, today i have finished.
I now need to stick them into my sketch book and write up some coments about it and explain what I used to edit the posters.
I found today a very good and easy day.

Thursday (long day)

Today has been a long and hot day, it has been hard to work due to so much heat in the classroom, i have still managed and have just finished my mock poster on animal testing.
I accidently closed my last one and never thought i would catch up.
Luckily I caught up just a few mintues before the end of college and before typing this up.

It has been good to work on Photoshop more today and shall keep up the work.

Work i've done and Photoshop

I finished my mood boards Yesterday, i thought to myself that it was a little hard to come with ideas for my mood board, I was ill unfortuntly and still did the work from home even though i didnt feel up too it. And one finished the mood boards I then wrote in my sketch book to my 11 pages.
We also started working on Photoshop yesterday, we had to listen to inscrtions given by John, I found this a little hard to keep up and had to be reminded what to do, It was also the first time i ever used Photoshop. I found it quite tricky at first and do find it complicating still.

But I think it's quite good to work with and I think that it is better than Photodraw which i used to use.

Hopefully I will get used to working with Photoshop.

Monday

Today we started off doing key skills session.
Later on we carried on with the media work, i had 11 pages altogether finished and am proud that i got my research done in time.
Today i started finding images for my mood board, this is for my first poster on polar bears.
I also stuck in my research pages into my new sketch book i brought today!

Tomorow i shall work on loads of my work at home, from what i can tell so far, it will be a long day tomorow.

Day Two

Today, I did more of the unit 5 work, I am now very tired out and my head cant keep up with anymore work today.
I shall do some more over Friday and the weekend.
I brainstormed my mood board idea's again...
This time it made a little more sense to me.
I shall start planning them out more on Monday, and then make a start on them once my ideas are good.

day one

Yesterday we used blogger for the first time to set up our accounts, we made our accounts on www.blogger.com


But before we set the accounts up we mostly worked on out unit 5 work which is researching photomontage, i have done 5 out of 10 pages so far.

I didn't know anything about photomontage at first and find it quite good to research about it.

We are also going to start doing our mood boards soon, i have a topic in mind.
